Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms of service govern the use of the NockNotes application ("Service") as a browser extension and web app, provided by Fabian Unger.

2. Description of the service

NockNotes lets you create, store and synchronize notes. The service is provided free of charge and "as is". There is no claim to uninterrupted availability.

3. Account and registration

Synchronization requires an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service for unlawful content or in a way that impairs its operation (e.g. abusive automation, circumventing security mechanisms). You are solely responsible for the content you store.

5. Availability and changes

We may develop, restrict or discontinue the service. We will inform you of material changes in an appropriate manner. Maintenance or technical faults may lead to temporary limitations.

6. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence as well as under the Product Liability Act and for injury to life, body or health. In cases of simple negligence, we are only liable for the breach of material contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. As the service is provided free of charge, any liability beyond this is excluded. We recommend regular exports of your own data to prevent data loss.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the settings. We may suspend or delete accounts in the event of serious breaches of these terms.

8. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If individual provisions are invalid, the remainder of the contract remains effective. For questions, contact contact@nocknotes.com.
